Holidays

It is easy to overindulge during the holidays. Take it easy. Don't try to eat everything in sight. Don't overfill your plate and then expect yourself to eat it all. Make wise decisions on what you choose to eat. Gravy is good but do you have to put it on everything. If you are running the next day it is not good for you too eat a lot because it will definitely slow you down.
On the other hand, don't' feel too guilty. It is just one day and if you keep it at just one day you're probably not going to kill yourself. Just make sure you don't give up on the workout.
Stay motivated.

The holidays are always a killer for me because I love to eat and everything is delicious. I heard that it is a good idea to eat a small meal like a salad before you go to a big dinner/party because then you will be less likely to over-eat. I think that it sounds like a good idea, but not if you eat the same amount as if you had not eaten before.

The holidays are so tricky to maintain your current diet/exercise plan.... THe worst thing I have noticed people doing is "picking". They eat a little here and there before the meal is even served, so many people are full way before they even sit down! I like Germaine's idea about eating a meal before a party....it will keep you satisfied and you wont starve to death waiting for the main meal
